Submit a Proposal for CLEO 2026!
With a distinguished legacy as the industry’s leading event in laser science, the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO) is the premier international forum for scientific and technical optics. CLEO unites the fields of lasers and opto-electronics by showcasing the full spectrum of laser technology—from fundamental research to real-world applications.
We invite the global optics and photonics community to propose compelling ideas for CLEO 2026’s three technical program formats: Special Symposia, Applications & Technology Topical Reviews, and Panels.
Submit your proposal by Sunday, 10 August 2025. All submissions will be reviewed by the CLEO General and Program Chairs for consideration in the CLEO 2026 program. Be a part of shaping one of the most anticipated events in the field.
Special Symposia
These sessions feature both invited and contributed papers and focus on areas of heightened interest to CLEO attendees. Proposals should highlight timely, cutting-edge topics and/or emerging trends in rapidly advancing areas of research.
A&T Topical Reviews
Also comprised of invited and contributed papers, these sessions emphasize recent, impactful advancements in photonics technologies that address real-world challenges. Proposals should center on timely and practical innovations in application-driven technologies.
Panels
Panel sessions are moderated, interactive discussions designed to explore important topics not typically addressed through formal presentations. Panelists should represent diverse or opposing perspectives to foster dynamic conversation and audience engagement. Proposals should highlight timely, relevant topics—technical or otherwise—for which there is no clear consensus, but strong community interest.
Submission Guidelines
All proposals must be submitted by 10 August 2025 at 11:59 PM (PST) via the online submission form and should include:
- Contact/primary organizer’s information
- Organizer names, affiliations, countries, and email addresses (each session should have 2–3 organizers)
- Session title and proposal description
- Session type (Special Symposium, A&T Topical Review, or Panel)
- A brief justification explaining the timeliness and relevance of the topic, and why it is particularly important now
