CLEO Call for Papers
The premier international forum for scientific and technical optics.
Shape the 2026 Technical Program!
For more than half a century, the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO) has been the world’s premier stage for breakthrough research in laser science and opto-electronics. CLEO spans the entire spectrum of laser technology—from ultrafast, high-intensity fundamental studies to advanced photonic devices and real-world industrial, biomedical, and communications applications.

We invite researchers, engineers, and innovators across the global optics and photonics community to propose bold, forward-looking concepts for CLEO 2026.
What Makes a Strong Submission?
A great paper:
• Clearly states the motivation behind the work
• Highlights what is new
• Provides specific results with quantitative evidence
Clarity, novelty, and impact are the hallmarks of a standout submission. Help shape the CLEO 2026 technical program and contribute to the future of optics and photonics.
Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library and on the Optica Publishing Group’s platform.
Proposal Deadline EXTENDED: Friday, 5 December 2025
Submissions will be reviewed by the CLEO General and Program Chairs for inclusion in the CLEO 2026 program.
